Ethelbert Children's Services (ECS) provide Residential Care, Fostering, Specialist Education and Therapy Services to children and young people who are unable to live with their own families.

Established for more than 50 years, ECS remain in family ownership and are committed to achieving exceptional outcomes.

Through innovative and versatile practice methods that promote confidence and mutual respect, children and young people can experience safety and stability whilst developing good levels of emotional literacy, self-esteem and resilience as they journey through childhood and adolescence towards productive adult lives.

Working in Partnership with More than 60 Local Authorities

ECS are partner providers to more than 60 local authorities across Southern and Central England and are registered to provide care to more than 120 children and young people across a range of specialist fostering and residential services.

Flexible Care Arrangements

Specialising in short-term, long-term and transitional care arrangements, ECS provide individualised, flexible and creative care packages that meet the individual needs of a wide range of children and young people.

Right Placement, Right Duration, Right Time

Through the effective integration of residential care, foster care, health and education, essential wraparound services can be delivered without delay.

Placement plans are reviewed and amended regularly in consultation with all stakeholders to ensure each young person has the right placement, for the right duration at the right time, whilst maintaining continuity in respect of positive attachments, health and education.
