We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

Residential Home Managers

Kent

We are currently recruiting experienced, child focused, children's residential home managers to compliment our existing team of professionals across Kent and South East London. The successful candidates will be able to prove a successful career to date in residential childcare at a supervisory or management level. In addition to having the attributes necessary to lead a team of residential workers and seniors, the role requires the ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of:

  • The needs of children and young people with complex social, emotional and/or behavioural problems
  • Every Child Matters
  • National Minimum Standards for Residential Children's Homes
  • The Ofsted Inspection Process
  • Supervision
  • Current legislation pertaining to residential children's homes and looked after children.

In addition to a salary of between £20,000 - £38,000 (according to qualifications and experience), the successful candidates will benefit from the support of a senior manager team that includes area managers, health and welfare manager, child protection coordinator and qualified social workers.

Residential Workers

Graveney (nr Faversham), Deal, Folkestone and Thanet.

We are currently recruiting residential workers to compliment our existing childcare teams across the Kent area who work with children and young people that present a range of social, emotional and behavioural challenges.

We invite applications from candidates that have existing knowledge and experience, and from those that have not yet undertaken a similar role but have a keen and genuine desire to improve the life opportunities of disadvantaged children and young people.

Shift patterns including weekends & sleep-ins will be part of this role along with nationally recognised training and development programmes.

Salary from £18,156 - Enhanced payments negotiable, dependant on current position, experience and qualifications.

Senior Residential Workers

Graveney (nr Faversham), Deal, Folkestone and Thanet

We are currently recruiting senior residential workers to compliment our existing childcare teams across the Kent area who work with children and young people that present a range of social, emotional and behavioural challenges.

We invite interest from candidates who possess a minimum of 2 years experience in residential childcare who are now looking to step up to a supervisory role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to :

  • Understand basic child development and the needs of looked after children
  • Understand and implement National Minimum Standards
  • Supervise and develop less experienced residential workers
  • Effectively plan, organise and lead shifts
  • Produce accurate and informative reports
  • De-escalate crisis situations
  • Lead by example

Shift patterns including weekends & sleep-ins will be part of this role along with nationally recognised training and development programmes.

Salary from £19,146 - Enhanced payments negotiable, dependant on current position, experience and qualifications.
